With so many people battling depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts, there is the gaping void for a soothing voice to quiet down the noise and give these people a brighter perspective. There’s a call for people to survive whatever life throws at them against all odds, and make a purposeful meaning out of life.
TheShadowedSelf is one of such voices whose main purpose is to inspire, empower, and enlighten individuals on the journey of healing and self-discovery through understanding how to give their lives a meaning again.
Challenge
A Problem shared…
Mrs Naomi Adedoyin a UK based writer and the Founder of The Shadowed Self wanted us to design and develop a responsive website ahead of her book launch – ENOUGH. She wanted users to be aware of what Shadowed Self stands for, read snippets of her books as well as to add Amazon links so that users can purchase her books and also she wanted us to link the website with the shadowedself blog so the users can navigate to the blog from the website.
Solution

The web work was laid out before us and we used our Product Design Process to bring the website’s concept to life. The interface is intuitive, responsive and features are built with no room for any doubt regarding what they concern.
Because the goal was to create a responsive website, we decided to go with with one of the most powerful and responsive Content Management System – WordPress and used WP bakery builder to design a clean layout and navigation. We created a page for the book snippets and added Amazon links at the end of the snippets so that it’ll be easy for readers to purchase the books on Amazon after reading the snippets. We also added The Shadowedself blog as a menu content which makes it easy for users to visit the blog from the website and hey we delivered before the book launch!.
